About this Opportunity

Love to make a joyful noise? How about singing old hymns with a hospice patient who has dementia? Many dementia patients respond to music that they heard in their early years, and many spent those early years singing hymns in church. Here's where you come in. You sit with the patient and sing standards like "Amazing Grace" or "Jesus Loves Me" and see what happens next. A patient who may be mostly nonverbal might mouth the words or even sing along with you. It's quite a moving experience, and it makes a positive difference in their lives -and in yours.

You must pass a background check, TB test and complete orientation at your own pace. It's also helpful if you can sing.
